Midjourney was the original text to image generation AI and has not slowed down. They release constant updates and allow you to generate images through discord or their website which is very unique. Mid journey was and still is the best overall image generation tool and offers a variety of options like telling you a prompt based on an image and allowing you to edit an image via a text prompt. It is paid but it could be priced at double and still be considered worth it
This update was an extremely controversial one. Hayao Miyazaki (one of the founders behind Studio Ghibli) found this update to be a "disgrace to life itself" because people are copying the Studio Ghibli art style. While he does have a perfectly valid point, it's hard not to appreciate the attention to detail in this update when it comes to image generation. Not only is it better at generating images but it does a great job with infographics and text on images as well - which has been a struggle for AI since the beginning of text to image generation
